Simulacrum of Proof
Painted when I was in a nigh-on suicidal frame of mind, somewhen in the region of 1992, to the tune of Dire Straits album 'Communique' (repeated constantly over the course of the eight hours I took), this painting is still my favourite of my art, as the one that most makes people wince.
It was based on the original which was done in ballpoint pen, during exam boredom of some sort.
