Twisting Through Windows.
Twisting Through Windows
A picture, like most of mine, originally drawn in ballpoint pen during a
dull class or exam at school (Chemistry, this time). The 'inspiration' for
the picture was a request from Anna Bauweraerts (under a different name at
the time) to draw "a picture including a house, a tree, a snake, flowers
and the sun". The original did include those aspects. Stylisation while
painting has hidden the flowers and turned the sun to the moon.
The reason for the request was a magazine 'psychology' thing. For the meaning
of the components of the picture, scroll down (I wouldn't want to ruin it
for you, after all). If you want to do the psychology thing yourself, I've
probably already ruined it by putting my picture in your head, but maybe you
won't be influenced...

The house is supposed to represent yourself,
The snake is supposed to represent your partner,
The tree is supposed to represent your mother,
The sun is supposed to represent your father,
And the flowers are supposed to represent your friends.
Beyond that, I believe you interpret the image for yourself.
