The tools used for this picture consisted of a handkerchief sized piece of gauze, some cranberry juice, some pizza sauce, a sandwich bag, a chopping board, a knife, a plant-light, and a digital camera.
And then, of course, Photoshop to adjust the redness (it was a bit pale), and to erase the kitchen-counter background with some tasteful burn-tool-ing which also gives it rather a painted look. Since I already had the painted look, I shoved it through a 'diffuse' filter, as with the Alien Mind Control Device for optimum pretending-that-I-painted-it effect.
